Dr. McGuckin was born and raised in small town Uxbridge, Ontario. After receiving a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Nipissing University, he completed a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology at Queen’s University.

He then went on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Upon completion of his Doctorate, he received the Award for Interprofessional Collaboration for his efforts in working closely with family physicians, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals.

Dr. McGuckin has additional training with the Complete Concussion Management Institute (CCMI), which is the gold standard training program for physicians, Chiropractors and physiotherapists who treat concussion or other head injuries. He also has experience and training in Athletic Movement Assessment (AMA) and Functional Movement Systems (FMS), giving him a keen eye for subtleties of human movement.

Dr. McGuckin’s approach to treatment is to help uncover the root of the issue, and correct it using manual treatment, patient education, and movement or exercise. He takes pride in delivering evidence-based care to his patients and working closely with other professionals to provide his patients with the best possible care guided by the most recent research.
